Thompson is a 6’3 305lbs DL. He’s been making big plays ever since he was a Freshman. All that work paid off including in the FHSAA State Championship against Osceola where Jamar had 1 Sack, 4 Solo Tackles and 11 TOT and 2 TFL, West Boca ended up winning the State Championship.

College coaches have been aiming for Jamar Thompson for a hot minute now, Power house schools like Alabama,Oregon,Miami,and Georgia have all offered Thompson. Thompson holds 32 Division 1 offers.

I asked Jamar Thompson for NewEraPrep, how he feels on getting looked at and getting offers from these coaches. He tells me “It’s a blessing. I mean I wanna thank God and my family. Without them I don’t know where I will be.”

In the same interview I asked him how the West Boca Football coaching staff is making an impact on him during his time at the school. His response “First I wanna say every coaching staff on West Boca is amazing. I mean every one stays on you, make sure you are good, and become the best player you can to make it to the next level.”

My final question during my time with Jamar Thompson was what do you have to do during your Junior season during games and training to show college coaches you’re that guy that coaches want on their team? His response, 

“This year I’m gonna give it my all, blood sweat and tears, and training wise I’m going all out everyday to become better as a player and to prove to colleges that I’m that man I gotta grind.”
