Gainesville, FL.- A VIP visitor made his way to the Swamp this past weekend.
Three-Star Offensive Tackle; Javarii Luckas from Glades Central just finished his Official Visit to the University of Florida, and there’s nothing but smiles on the big fella’s face. After having a four hour car ride to reflect on the weekend, Javarii stated:
“This weekend was great! I had a great time in the Swamp. My favorite part of the trip was seeing the campus and building a relationship with the players and staff.”
Javarii, a 6 foot 6 people mover from Glades Central is at the top of multiple recruiting boards. The physically imposing Luckas currently garners eight Division I Offers including Miami (FL.), Penn. State, Florida International (FIU), Florida Atlantic (FAU), South Florida (USF), West Virginia and Western Kentucky. When asked about what has helped the Gators stand out in his very competitive recruiting process, Javarii shared with me:
“The culture that Florida has is amazing. I really like the staff, they have great coaches that can help develop me and prepare me for my dream of playing in the NFL.” Luckas stated. “I love how Coach Sale {UF OL Coach} runs the OL room. He’s coaches hard and pushes you to your limits. He’s definitely going to get the most out of me, I just gotta put In the work and he’ll do the rest.”
Later our interview, Javarii shared with me that Florida is one of his top three schools, with a commitment nearing around early July. Despite the Gators being a favorite in Javarii’s recruitment, Luckas does have an Official Visit with West Virginia scheduled for next weekend (June 6-8), as the Mountaineers hope to bring the big man to Morgantown.
