The 561 Awards is the first of its kind. Coach Gad is the mastermind behind it all and has made it his mission to make 561 the best.
Coach Gad began his mission in early 2024. He put on the first ever 561 Showcase to highlight the best of the best football players. The athletes joined together to show off their skills.
A few months later he put on the 561 Media Day. The top football players from each high school were invited to come. They first started with press interviews as a team, then moved on individually to work with separate media outlets.
Fast forward to today with the 561 Awards. This not only showcased the top football players, but also media outlets and content creators. Once the nominees were announced in November, then head coaches, select media personalities and media platforms voted for the finalists and winner. Those selected to vote kept in mind the players on field leadership, stats, academic performance, strength of schedule, team record and accomplishments.
561 is just getting started.
