It is always special to see a local product find success at the high school level, college level, and the professional level. This is apparent when it is a product of the South Florida area, and we are seeing it in real time.
From American Heritage in Delray Beach, all the way to seven seasons and counting in the National Football League, Devin “Motor” Singletary has found success at every level, and now he is being honored in the middle of it all.

They don’t call him “Motor” for no reason.
Singletary, a Deerfield Beach native, is not only the all-time leading rusher in the history of American Heritage Delray HS, but he is the all-time leader in rushing in the now 26-year history of Devin’s hometown Florida Atlantic Owls.

The current New York Giants running back spent an illustrious three seasons in Boca Raton, climbing his way up the depth chart and improving year after year. Singletary helped the Owls succeed in those three years, two of them under former head coach Lane Kiffin.
Singletary recorded 4,280 yards on the ground with 66 rushing touchdowns, along with 397 receiving yards and a touchdown, which really shined in 2017 when FAU finished with an 11-3 record and became Conference-USA champions.
Now, the C-USA Hall of Fame will welcome in Singletary, the first player in Florida Atlantic Football history to be honored, and it is more than deserved.
Congratulations, Devin!
