WELLINGTON, FL.- Let’s continue the end of season festivities by announcing the New Era Prep 2023-24 Offensive Player of the Year: Nedrick Boldin (’25), wide receiver from Palm Beach Central!
When asked about being voted as OPOTY, Nedrick said:
“Winning the offensive player of the year award is truly an honor.” Boldin said. “I’m feeling great, and I am feeling blessed to have earned this award. I can’t wait to run it back next year!”
Throughout his junior season, Nedrick proved himself as one of the top receivers in the county, being able to do anything needed to bring his team to victory.
In 2023, Nedrick recorded:
53 Receptions
750 Yards
12 Total Touchdowns
While Nedrick may have been Palm Beach Central’s scoring leader, his impact on the Broncos extends much further than the field. After being named team captain this past season, Boldin stepped into the leadership role and did not waiver.
Throughout the season, I’ve observed that Nedrick is a vocal leader, as he encouraged his teammates through summer workouts, pre game warmups, and during contest. No matter the outcome, Nedrick stayed composed and did his job, willing his team to victory.
The PBC coaches have sang Boldin’s praises, referring to him as “One of the most loyal and hard working players I’ve ever come across.” Head Coach Kevin Thompson said. “He is the best example of trusting the process. Nedrick does whatever the program needs.”
Currently, Nedrick has received 10 Division I offers, including: Akron, Arkansas, Bethune Cookman, Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Maryland, Pitt, UMass and Western Kentucky. Boldin has also received “serious interest” from East Carolina, Appalachian State and Kentucky.
Congratulations Nedrick on an incredible junior season!
