561 Spotlight: Luke Douglas

JUPITER HIGH – Jupiter High School opened their season against Boca High on Thursday night during the Kickoff Classic period. Jupiter High as a team put on a dominant display and was put up for consideration for New Era Prep’s team of the week but ultimately placed third in voting, however there were some great individuals that got their own spotlight, one of those players was Quarterback Luke Douglas.

The Senior Quarterback posed as a dual threat in Jupiter’s win over Boca High in the Kickoff Classic. Not only did Douglas having a touchdown in the air, he also brought one in on the ground and played defense where he caught an interception. Which put everyone on notice and won him the New Era Prep Breakout Player of the Week.

Douglas had an amazing performance on both ends of the ball and solidified himself as one of Jupiter’s big time players. Douglas had a busy offseason in preparation for his senior year, as he had FAU and UCF Prospect Camps, putting himself on the map and aiming on beating out his stats from the previous season which saw him responsible for 13 offensive touchdowns and two interceptions on the defensive end as a Free Safety.

Jupiter High takes on Dwyer High in their home opener at Jupiter High School. The Warriors look to continue where they left off after their statement win over Boca High the previous week.
