STUART – Pauly Boisvert is both the People’s Champion and our co-champion of the Treasure Coast area for this past season.
We will first get to the numbers for the Martin County senior athlete, who officially stepped in as the team’s starting quarterback from Week 6 of the regular season until the Class 4S-Region 3 quarterfinal round.
“I can remember vividly before the game in which we played Centennial, he was asked to step up and be our starting quarterback for the rest of the season,” said sophomore kicker John Connolly, who shared our Special Teams Player of the Year honor with Martin County senior Ricardo Weaver Jr.
“Without pause, he said, “I’m ready, Coach,” he continued.
Connolly did not stop there.
“Overall, Pauly was just a great guy to have around,” said Connolly, who transferred from Martin County to John Carroll in the offseason. “He was an unselfish leader on and off the field. He had a personal bond with everyone and could make you laugh at the most needed times. He will definitely be remembered for his positive impact on our season and how he didn’t even think twice to sacrifice himself when needed.”
Here is what the Treasure Coast’s ultimate unsung hero achieved statistic-wise in a season to remember for the ages.
As a runner:
•111 attempts
•536 rushing yards
•4 touchdowns
•Treasure Coast’s No. 7-ranked runner in yardage, according to Promos and Highlights
As a passer:
•7 touchdown passes
Let us take a look at one of Boisvert’s seven touchdown passes, which came in Week 11 at Jensen Beach (27-22 road win).

Martin County senior athlete Denzel Alexander (518 total yards, nine total touchdowns this past season) spoke on how the fellow athlete (5-foot-10, 190 pounds) deserves his MVP honor.
“Proud of him,” the 5-foot-7, 150-pound speedster said. “Pauly has always had that competitive spirit. He has been a great all-around person to everyone. He has the winning mindset/mentality and pure intentions for everyone he comes in contact with.”
Now let us show off one of Boisvert’s four touchdown runs. This one came later in Martin County’s Week 11 showdown against Jensen Beach.

Martin County junior offensive lineman Kaleb Ferschke (6-foot-5, 295 pounds) shared his own take about Bosivert’s level of impact on the team.
“He never complained,” Ferschke said. “He just stepped up and put the team on his back. He carried us to the biggest win in program history. Pauly was a leader and a hard worker, and it pushed us to be like him. He played at RB, QB, and punter. He did everything and played great at all the positions. And my favorite thing about him is he encouraged everyone.”
Speaking of the biggest win in program history, Martin County took down fellow District 12-4S opponent and eventual champion Vero Beach in Week 9.
On Martin County’s senior night, Boisvert led the way as he accounted for a touchdown run in the second quarter of his team’s 28-21 home win over the then-No. 1 ranked team in the Treasure Coast.
This led to Boisvert easily winning our MVP of Week 9, which is the primary reason why he was nominated for MVP of the Year.

“We knew going into the game that we were going to have to control the clock to win,” Ferschke said. “Pauly stepped up and embraced the role. We started the game running the ball with him, and he was playing like his life depended on it. He was carrying guys for one, two, three yards to make sure we walk out with the win.”
Boisvert’s presence was felt on passing plays when it mattered the most.
“Pauly also threw the ball great,” Ferschke said. “He stepped up and made the right reads and didn’t force anything. One very vivid memory I have: Vero called their last timeout and Pauly told the coaches to run to the right. It was third-and-8. I made my block and looked up when I heard the whistle. Pauly was 10 yards up the field that play. It showed his leadership and MVP moment.”
Martin County head coach Rod Harris provided his commentary on Boisvert.
“He became a leader in 2022,” Harris said. “Great teammate, absolute winner. Four years with so many memories that will last a lifetime.”

For all of his efforts at Martin County, Boisvert has earned several offers to date, including the likes of Trine, Clarke, Carthage, Ottawa (Ks.), Lyon, Heidelberg, Westminster College, and Monmouth.
We do not know if Boisvert will sign his letter of intent on National Signing Day (Wednesday, Feb. 1) or anytime after that. But we do know that the college our co-MVP ultimately chooses will have something quite special on their hands, as evidenced by his All-Area First Team Offense selection from TCPalm.
And we know one thing for sure about Boisvert.
He will be ready when his number gets called.
