PALM BEACH COUNTY – We had plenty of joyous moments throughout the morning and evening hours of Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Known as National Signing Day, a total of 16 high schools were represented as they watched their seniors put the pen to paper by signing their letters of intent to colleges and universities nationwide.

In total, 17 high schools from Palm Beach County have sent their players to the college level over the first two official signing days.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHT MOMENT: DEEJAY HOLMES

We had one Power 5 decision that was made yesterday. It came from Pahokee senior DeeJay Holmes, who chose Ole Miss over the likes of Colorado, UCF, Cincinnati, and USF.

The Holmes signing event took place in the evening hours at Pahokee Deliverance Christian Center, where he brought his family to the podium and featured both his mother (Yashena Johnson) and his father (Dwayne Holmes Sr.) as central figures in the ceremony. It was quite an emotional and touching moment indeed, which immediately warmed the hearts of onlookers and Ole Miss fans alike.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHT MOMENT: JUSTIN BOSTIC

We closed the night out in Wellington with a special National Signing Day event that was hosted by Palm Beach Central and Palm Beach County legend Jon Bostic.

He assembled a grand ceremony for his younger brother Justin Bostic, a now-Palm Beach Central legend in his own right.

Bostic, who pledged his verbal commitment this past fall to Florida A&M, decided to stick with his original plan and officially ink his letter of intent with the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) institution.
