STUART – Ever since he was a youngster years ago, Denzel Alexander had a burning desire to play football on the next level.
The gridiron dreams, the athleticism, the speed, and the skills – they are all in his genes.

Coming from Pahokee, the 5-foot-7, 150-pound athlete has been arguably the fastest, the quickest, and the most energizing player that Martin County has seen over the past few years.
Alexanderâs electrifying personality helped in making him one of the Treasure Coastâs top overall players in the class, as evidenced by his 518 total yards and nine total touchdowns in 11 games played.
This resulted in the Muckstepper gaining five offers from the likes of Keiser, Heidelberg, Trine, Westminster, and Webber.
At this time, Alexander has narrowed his college options down to three:
âąKeiser
âąTrine
âąWestminster

Alexander spoke honestly about his recruiting process and how it took time for it to take off.
âI believe my recruiting process went the way it did due to me not playing my freshman year, which is a big part of your high school career,â Alexander said.
Alexander will be making his final decision today (Feb. 16) at 3:15 p.m. It will be held inside Martin County High Schoolâs auditorium.
Without revealing his decision beforehand, there may be a clue as to where Alexander could be headed.
âI picked it because it was a chance for me to get away from home and experience new beginnings,â Alexander said of the unnamed college football destination.
âThe people are so welcoming and genuine,â Alexander continued. âThe environment is beautiful. The school is a great place to grow into an adult and live the successful life you want to live. The whole coaching staff is filled with great people and even better coaches who want nothing but the best for you. Theyâre willing to do whatever it is to better you as a man. I felt like I was able to trust them.â
EDITORâS NOTE: This is Part I of our football journey with Alexander. Stay tuned for Part II, which will be coming up soon.
