Christian Proscia is a multi-media photo journalist that covers local high school, NCAA and professional sports. Proscia graduated high school from The King’s Academy (WPB) in the spring of 2022 with a program of distinction in the Digital Arts. While at TKA, he got the opportunity to work on a full, feature-length film (The Fountain of Youth), and in the summer of his senior year, founded a sports marketing club with TKA’s assistant athletic director. Christian is currently a student at Florida Atlantic University (’27). While at FAU, CP is majoring in Communications. Proscia has covered Owls Athletics since before enrolling. His favorite memory with FAU has been “Traveling with FAU Men’s Basketball to the 2023 Final Four in Houston, Texas.” Proscia has also covered numerous professional sporting events, including coverage of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, 2023 NFL Combine and professional boxing. Athletically, Christian was a competitive swimmer for 12 years. During his high school swimming career, Proscia won a State Championship, named as a multiple time All-American, won county district and region championships, broke numerous program records, and was named “First Team All County” by the Palm Beach Post and South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Proscia will go down as one of TKA’s most decorated athletes. Christian picked up photography during the COVID lockdown as a way to pass time, and it has expanded to becoming a passion and future career. “I’ve grown up always loving sports. After being an athlete my whole life, I can talk about sports for hours. Despite my retirement, I want sports to still be a staple in my life. Combining athletics with my passion for digital arts is a blessing for me. I get to still be involved in sports, and be part of something far greater than myself.” Christian’s interests are photography, videography, watching sports, traveling, spending time with family, and playing with his two dogs.
