At this time, Jenkins has narrowed down his options. He has shared his top four schools that are still in consideration, which are:
•Middle Tennessee
•UMass
•Western Kentucky
•Western Michigan
It is not known at this particular time when Jenkins will make his final college decision. Nonetheless, the college football program that lands this prodigy will be blessed to have the nephew of Muck legend Deonte Thompson for the next several years ahead.
Jenkins spoke on the level of impact that Thompson has had on his life.
“Me and my uncle are very close,” Jenkins said. “He is an important role model in my life. I looked up to him my whole life. He always teaches me things beyond football and we work out together. It’s always a next level workout. He wants me to be the greatest, so we always do the great things.”
When speaking of next level things, Jenkins is also an accomplished track and field star.
We will let the below video show everyone what Jenkins has done on the track this past spring at Pahokee.
As far as Pahokee is concerned, Jenkins is happy to be playing under first-year head coach Matthew Sparrowhawk, who was recently promoted to the position after serving under previous head coaches D.J. Boldin and Emmanuel Hendrix.
Jenkins also made sure to give a shout out to Pahokee assistant coach Clint Everett, who is also a trainer and the founder of GED (Grind Every Day).
“They are some of the best coaches in the county, and GED is a brand,” Jenkins said. “We represent a label.”
Now that we are less than one month away from the start of the 2023 fall football season, Jenkins was happy to share his goals for his upcoming senior campaign.
“My individual goals is to have 1,000 receiving yards,” Jenkins said. “The team goal is to win states and make history.”
Both goals are certainly attainable, considering the fact that Pahokee is a perennial power in Class 1R.
We are excited to see what the next several months will bring for both Jenkins and the Blue Devils this upcoming season. Stay tuned for further updates on Jenkins’ journey.
