WEST PALM BEACH – When Chris D’or is on the field, you can expect something special to happen.

That’s exactly what happened last week against Melbourne Central Catholic in Cardinal Newman’s 21-14 road win. All three scores for the Crusaders came on the ground by D’or, who registered 20 carries for 202 yards.

D’or, who has an offer from FAU, is currently our No. 10 overall ranked player in Palm Beach County. His MVP performance is proof that he deserves to be a Top 10 mainstay and more.

“He deserved MVP. He kept us in the game,” Cardinal Newman junior linebacker/running back and Breakthrough Player of Week 6 winner Jaydon Hood said. “Chris has been a leader of our offense and really pulled our line together to get the job done. He’s a hard worker who understands that he is undersized, but who is a beast at heart.”

D’or said he is appreciative of our MVP of Week 6 honor, which was decided by our combined viewers and readership.

“This means a lot,” D’Or said. “My O-line played a great game and we executed the game plan.”

Next game for D’or and No. 9 Cardinal Newman (3-1): Tomorrow night (Oct. 4, 7 p.m. kickoff) at St. John Paul II in Boca Raton
