DELRAY BEACH – Atlantic cornerback Jahbari Hill won’t have to travel far for his college football experience

On Sunday, July 19, the senior announced his decision to commit to Florida Atlantic on his Twitter page.

“I also want to give a huge thank you to Coach Leavitt, Coach Taggart and Coach Boosie for believing in me and taking a chance for a dawg to join the program,” Hill said on his Twitter. “I’m blessed and proud to say I am 100% committed to Florida Atlantic University.”

Hill, a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, is ranked as the 182nd cornerback by the recruiting site. He is the No. 2-ranked cornerback in Palm Beach County, according to New Era Prep’s 2021 recruiting rankings.

FAU’s recruitment has had a strong offseason so far. Hill is FAU’s 25th recruit in the 2021 class and the 16th recruit from the state of Florida. Currently, FAU has six defensive backs in the class, including Hill.

Hill finished his junior season with 37 tackles, five pass breakups and two interceptions. He also added a forced fumble, four blocked punts and a blocked field goal.

Hill held six offers total, including offers to in-state programs South Florida and Florida International.
