WEST PALM BEACH – Before last season, few outside the Palm Beach Lakes circle knew much about Quentin Hall.

But after a breakout season at the linebacker position, Hall emerged as one of the Rams unsung heroes in more ways than one.

Case in point: Hall’s best individual game came in Week 5 against Pahokee, when he recorded 5 tackles (2 TFL‘s), 2 pass breakups, and 1 second quarter interception that helped Palm Beach Lakes seal a dominating 48-0 home win.

“I was highly motivated because of the win they had over us the last time we played them,” Hall said. “After I caught the pick, I knew the game was over.”

Hall (6-foot, 200 pounds) went on to tally 50+ tackles, 3 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble in 11 games played for Palm Beach Lakes (10-1 final record; No. 1 team in Palm Beach County; Lou Groza Team of the Year).

“It was a movie,” Hall said. “Nobody expected me to do what I did. And I won’t ever forget the fun the team had in dominating Palm Beach County.”

Hall (No. 76 overall player; Class of 2020) went on to sign his letter of intent with North Palm Beach Prep on May 22.

“I love that their main objective is to get the players recruited,” Hall said. “I feel like I came too far to stop at this point. This is just going to drive my hunger.”

Fellow Palm Beach Lakes High School graduate and wide receiver Antorey Williams will be teaming up with Hall at North Palm Beach Prep this upcoming fall season.

“Quentin is a very smart player on the field,” Williams said. “I watched him improve by making plays from sideline to sideline. He also loves the game of football. Trust me.”

Looking back for a quick minute, Hall was not too worried about how the current COVID-19 pandemic ended his senior year at Palm Beach Lakes. His high school graduation was on June 4.

“Honestly that wasn’t even on my mind,” Hall said. “I’m just trying to get to the next level in football. That’s all.”
