Dia Bell has been one of the most polarizing Quarterback recruits across the country. Bell is easily the top dual threat QB in the class, possessing natural athleticism alongside a rocket of an arm. While he’s absolutely brilliant to watch every Friday night, Dia Bell’s top trait comes from his playmaking abilities. When the pocket breaks down and plays begin to go sideways, Dia always finds a way to produce a positive gain.
In a shortened 2024 season due to injury, Dia Bell started 11 games, throwing for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns on 71% completion. Bell would also rush for 561 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Bell has been a verbal pledge to Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns since June 2024, and has been very vocal about the strength of his recruitment. Following the departure of Quinn Ewers to the NFL, and an elite projected season from Arch Manning ahead of next year, Dia Bell should be the franchise cornerstone of the Texas Longhorns for years to come.
This isn’t the first accolade Dia’s hauled in over the past few months. In November 2024, Bell, alongside Chaminade Madonna RB Derrek Cooper, was named to the Under Armour All American list. A few weeks later in December 2024, Bell was named as the Florida ‘Gatorade Player of the Year’.
