CORAL SPRINGS, FL — In a spirited United States Premier Hockey League Premier contest on Monday night, the Coral Springs junior squad rode a balanced offensive attack to a 5–2 victory over Tampa Bay at the Florida Panthers Ice Den Stadium. The win adds an important boost to Coral Springs’ season, showcasing their depth and ability to produce offense across multiple lines.

Balanced Scoring Leads the Way

Coral Springs punched in five goals on the night, with contributions up and down the lineup. Leading the charge was forward John Pie, who put up a goal and an assist in a multi-point performance. Supporting efforts came from Luca Hobbs and Derek Hudson, each logging a goal and a helper, and Isak Malmfors — who chipped in two goals himself. Meanwhile, Kelton Bradshaw and Steven Eberhardt also found the back of the net in the high-paced offensive effort.

On the Tampa Bay side, Ethan Palso was the lone multi-point player with a goal and an assist, and Benjamin Kelly and Zackary Myers also scored for the visitors. Despite the offensive sparks, Tampa Bay was unable to keep pace with Coral Springs’ depth scoring.

Goaltending Anchors the Win

Between the pipes, Coral Springs’ Nathan McAlpine delivered a strong performance, stopping 49 shots and finishing with an impressive save percentage, credited with the regulation win. On the other side, Tampa Bay’s Konsta Hiltunen faced a heavy workload, finishing with 41 shots against and a respectable outing despite the loss.

Special Teams & Game Flow

Neither team was able to capitalize on the power play in limited opportunities, but Coral Springs found success at even strength, dominating the shot attempt battle and controlling play throughout the second and third periods. The balanced scoring for Coral Springs was a decisive factor in sealing the victory.

Looking Ahead

Coral Springs’ win keeps them trending positively in first place in the Florida Conference as their inaugural Premier season continues, while Tampa Bay heads home to refocus after a tough road loss. With contributions from multiple lines and strong goaltending, Coral Springs looks poised for continued success as the schedule pushes deeper into the 2025-26 USPHL campaign.
