Arizona Cardinals
QB, RT, DL, LB, CB
The Cardinals are in need of a long-term quarterback, even though they have Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew as short-term options. The team will also need pass rush help along the entire defensive line; getting both a defensive tackle and an edge rusher is needed. Right Tackle is a very specific need along the offensive line, and they could also stand to add some players at linebacker and cornerback.
Atlanta Falcons
WR, ED, LB, CB
The Falcons have a huge question mark at edge rusher due to concerns surrounding James Pearce Jr., and they could also stand to add a receiver to complement Drake London, especially with the departure of Darnell Mooney. The receiver room has gotten rather thin. Linebacker and cornerback are also rather weak and will need to be addressed.
Baltimore Ravens
WR, OL, DL, CB
The Ravens need to invest in rebuilding the trenches; the interior offensive line is a big question mark, and is most likely in need of three potential starters at both guard spots and center. They should be in the market for an edge two to line up opposite Trey Hendrickson, in addition to stabilizing the cornerback room by pairing someone with Nate Wiggins.
Buffalo Bills
OL, DL, LB, DB
The Bills have a hole along the offensive line after losing David Edwards in free agency, as well as some major questions in the secondary that are going to need to be filled. The Bills could also use some more defensive line depth, as other than Greg Rousseau and Ed Oliver, there aren’t too many players who can reliably get after the quarterback.
Carolina Panthers
TE, DT, LB
The biggest need for the Panthers is a reliable tight end for Bryce Young and that offense. They also have a need for another interior defensive lineman to play alongside Derrick Brown, and aside from adding depth throughout the rest of the roster, there is no acute need for the Panthers.
Chicago Bears
DL, S
The Bears are in desperate need of some difference-makers along the defensive line, at both defensive tackle and edge rusher. They could use someone to generate pressure against the quarterback relatively consistently, as well as someone who is able to plug the gaps in the run game. They have lost both starting safeties in the offseason, and could stand to bring another safety in to start next to Coby Bryant.
Cincinnati Bengals
OL, DL, LB, DB
The Bengals’ needs revolve purely around the entire defense unit. They need talent on all three levels of the defense, and despite some free agency additions, they still need as many pieces as possible. Even though the Bengals spent two draft picks on linebackers last year, they had one of the worst pairings in the league, and the unit is in desperate need of some help. They will also have a small need along the offensive line, as it is full of either aging veterans or young players still developing.
Cleveland Browns
QB, WR, OL, DL, CB
Finding the quarterback for the future is always the goal in Cleveland, but I don’t believe they will address that need this offseason. The wide receiver room is in need of some dynamic playmakers, and they could stand to add any offensive linemen as they work to build that unit up again. Some depth on the defensive line could be smart, as well as adding a piece at cornerback to keep the defense strong.
Dallas Cowboys
DT, LB, CB
The Cowboys still have a glaring hole at cornerback currently, as well as a potential LB2 next to DeMarvion Overshown. The Cowboys have been successful in building the defensive line in the absence of Micah Parsons, but they could continue to add some depth at defensive tackle, as Kenny Clark is most likely not a long-term answer at that position.
Denver Broncos
TE, DL
Other than a playmaking tight end to fit in on the offense, there is a need to replenish some of the lost depth along the defensive line. Otherwise, this roster is in very good shape, and when Bo Nix returns to full health, he should be back to competing next season.
Detroit Lions
OL, DL, CB
What was once one of the biggest strengths of the Lions’ roster, the offensive line, has become one of the biggest weaknesses. This is due to some unexpected retirements and departures, but the Lions are now in desperate need of a left tackle and some interior offensive linemen. They also need an edge rusher opposite Aidan Hutchinson, which has been a need for the team for a few offseasons now. Cornerback might still be a concern, but they have young players already on the roster that could potentially develop.
Green Bay Packers
OL, ED, CB
The Packers are in need of an impact pass rusher to play opposite Micah Parsons, especially with the release of Rashan Gary. The offensive line has turned into a weakness and has some question marks; however, the Packers have always been able to churn out productive offensive linemen. The cornerback room is also extremely weak and held the defense back at times last season.
Houston Texans
OL, CB
The Texans have some questions along the offensive line, although the unit is more reliant on veterans and injury-prone players, as opposed to young, developing talent. So adding young offensive linemen to develop behind these veterans is a need for the Texans. Houston could also use some added depth in the secondary, particularly at cornerback.
Indianapolis Colts
WR, LB, DB
The Colts will need to retool the wide receiver room and fill the gap that Michael Pittman leaves, so they will need to look for a bigger-bodied receiver to play on the outside. They will also need overall secondary help, losing Nick Cross in free agency, and the questions surrounding Charvarius Ward create a need for depth in the secondary. The linebackers are also lacking overall starter talent and will need someone to come in to replace Zaire Franklin.
Jacksonville Jaguars
DT, LB, DB
The Jaguars’ biggest need is on the defensive side of the football. Finding long-term players at defensive tackle and finding playmakers at linebacker to help replace Devin Lloyd. They could also use some depth in the secondary for some reliability, but it is not as pressing a need as the others.
Kansas City Chiefs
CB, WR, DL
The Chiefs have a desperate need for a cornerback. Losing Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, and Joshua Williams this offseason leaves a massive hole at that position. On the offensive side of the ball, there is a need at wide receiver, due to the questions surrounding Rashee Rice, and the Chiefs might have to find another receiver to complement Xavier Worthy. They will also need help along the defensive line to help rush the passer, along with Chris Jones and George Karlaftis.
Las Vegas Raiders
QB, WR, OL, DL
Quarterback is the biggest team need entering the draft; it is pretty much guaranteed that Fernando Mendoza will be the starting quarterback. So the focus will need to shift to the surrounding cast around Mendoza. The offense is in pretty good shape, although there are some updates that could be made along the offensive line, particularly at left guard and at right tackle. An impact receiver to give Mendoza a reliable target to pair with Tre Tucker, Dont’e Thornton, and Jack Bech will also be crucial. Defensive tackle is the biggest need on the defense, with them severely lacking any impact players on the interior defensive line, and with Maxx Crosby coming back, the Raiders can shift their attention towards the interior.
Los Angeles Chargers
OL, DL, S
The Chargers had the worst offensive line in football last season, and they still could use some starters at both guard and center. They could also use some more impactful players along the defensive line, and although they have some good young pieces, they could use a few more difference makers. There is also the possibility of bringing in someone to bring more youth to the safety room.
Los Angeles Rams
OL, WR, DB
The Rams have probably the strongest roster in the NFL and have very few holes that they need to fill. They could be looking to add another wide receiver to complement Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, but this is not a pressing need. The Offensive line also has some work that could be done in terms of future-proofing the unit, but the unit is very solid overall, and this would simply be preparing for departing players.
Miami Dolphins
WR, TE, OL, DL, DB
Other than running back and linebacker, the Dolphins are in the market for almost every single position. They brought in Malik Willis to start the rebuild, and they now need to build an entire roster around him. The good news is, the Dolphins have seven picks in the top 100, and they could very well plug some of these holes in April.
Minnesota Vikings
RB, OL, CB, S
The Vikings need some secondary help, especially with the possibility of Harrison Smith retiring, a big need for the team. The future of Jordan Addison is uncertain, so they could be in the market for a future wide receiver two. As well as there being a slight need at running back, as well as a need at center.
New England Patriots
WR, DL
The Patriots have addressed the biggest needs in free agency, but these moves have not totally filled the gaps in the roster. The Patriots need an elite number one wide receiver for Drake Maye, and could also use an impact edge rusher on the defensive line. There is a question mark surrounding Christian Barmore, so defensive tackle could be a need as well.
New Orleans Saints
WR, DL, CB
The Saints need a wide receiver two, especially with the long-term health of Chris Olave always being a looming question. The defensive line as a whole is in need of more impact players; edge rusher is severely lacking in depth, and defensive tackle is a major need. The cornerback room is also a huge need for them to target, since there is only one, maybe two good starters on the roster.
New York Giants
WR, OL, DT, DB
A true wide receiver two will help to fully solidify this offense, and there are still some improvements to be made along the offensive line. Adding a defensive tackle next to Dexter Lawrence would help to strengthen the defensive line, and the entire secondary underwhelmed last season, so you could make the argument that adding help there is needed.
New York Jets
QB, WR, DT, ED, CB
The Jets are in need of a quarterback for the future. Although they just traded for Geno Smith, they still do not have a long-term solution at the position. The Jets are going to need a complement at receiver to line up on the other side of Garrett Wilson. The defensive line is also going to need some work, as it is full of average starters and aging veterans, all on short-term contracts, and apart from T’Vondre Sweat, not many long-term solutions.
Philadelphia Eagles
OL, DL, S
The Eagles are going to need to continue to future-proof the offensive line, as both Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson might retire at the end of this upcoming season. The Eagles are usually in the market for continuing to invest in the defensive line, and the unit has only gotten thinner over the past season, so they should continue to build this roster through the trenches. They have done extremely well through this winning window.
Pittsburgh Steelers
QB, OL, LB, DB
As of right now, the Steelers are in desperate need of a starting quarterback, especially with the uncertainty of whether or not Aaron Rodgers will return as the starter next season. The offensive line, particularly the left side of the offensive line, is in need of starters. Defensively, they could use a linebacker and add some youth in the secondary.
San Francisco 49ers
OL, ED
The 49ers need help along the defensive line, particularly in creating a strong pass rush presence. There is some good interior pass rush help, but there is not a lot of help on the edge other than Nick Bosa. With rumors surrounding Trent Williams potentially leaving, a future left tackle becomes a need for the 49ers as well.
Seattle Seahawks
RB, ED, DB
The reigning Super Bowl champions have some needs that still need to be addressed. They lost numerous key contributors throughout the roster, such as Kenneth Walker, Boye Mafe, Riq Woolen, and Coby Bryant. So these positions where they lost key players might need to be addressed in the draft, particularly in the secondary, where they lost a good number of players.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
WR, DL, LB, CB
The Buccaneers need to reinvest in the defense, particularly along the defensive line. They need both defensive tackles and edge rushers, and should look to bring in both positions through the draft. In addition to the defensive line, they will need some help at both linebacker and cornerback. The Buccaneers might be interested in adding another wide receiver as well, to help the unit stay consistent with the departure of Mike Evans.
Tennessee Titans
WR, OL, DL, LB, S
The Titans’ biggest need is adding an impact pass rusher and another weapon at receiver for Cam Ward to throw to. The Titans could also use some more upgrades on the offensive line, particularly at right guard. They also need help at all three levels of the defense, including pass rusher, linebacker, and safety.
Washington Commanders
WR, DT, CB
The Commanders’ biggest need is adding a wide receiver next to Terry McLaurin. Even though they added some guys to the room, they are in need of a true number two option. The secondary, particularly the cornerback, is a big question mark, and they might need another starter in that room. There is a lot of money tied up on the defensive line, but there hasn’t been a lot of production, so adding a defensive tackle in the draft is a big need.
