Nashville, TN: Scouts called him “Undersized”, “Too Slow”, “Not Good Enough”

Now, he’s “Undeniable”

Last night marked the official end of the 2026 NFL Off-season, with teams across the League cutting their rosters down to a final 53 man squad. 

One of the biggest storylines down in South Florida came when the Tennessee Titans announced their season squad. Of the 53 members of the Titans, one 5 foot 10 man stood above: Xavier Restrepo.

During his collegiate career at Miami, Restrepo became one of the most feared wideouts in the country. The hometown hero from Deerfield Beach product went from being known as an “undersized” wideout to being immortalized as a Hurricane Legend.

In 5 years, Xavier Restrepo recorded 200 receptions, 2,844 yards and 21 career touchdowns. All three of those stat lines are program records, accompanied by the single season receptions title at 85, most 100-yard games at 12 and becoming the first Hurricane wide receiver to record two consecutive 1,000 yard seasons.

Despite his polarizing 5th year with Cam Ward, Xavier Restrepo would not hear his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft, and would be a UDFA pickup by Tennessee. 

Xavier would spend the majority of his rookie season on the Titans’ practice squad, while being called up to the show twice, recording 3 grabs for 41 yards. 

After a stellar pre-season recording 6 catches for 81 yards, Xavier was able to lock in his spot on Tennessee’s active roster. 

For the kid who was under looked his whole life, having to work just a bit harder than everyone else, the dream has paid off. Xavier Restrepo is officially an NFL player, and ready to prove every person who doubted him wrong along the way.
