Raleigh, NC.– The North Carolina State Wolfpack demolished the Richmond Spiders 73-0 during tonight’s Friday Night showdown.
The Wolfpack recorded 612 yards of total offense, scoring left and right. During the victory, one of Palm Beach County’s top alumni made his mark known, recording a very important milestone. NC State TE Preston Douglas was a matchup nightmare against the Spiders’ defense, recording 2 grabs for 58 yards and a touchdown on the night. Douglas’ first collegiate score came midway through the second quarter, when QB Cedrick Bailey found him on a 15 yard strike, putting the Pack up 42-0.
The play leading into the touchdown grab was another Bailey to Douglas connection on a long 43 yard toss.

*There will not be halftime.
The former Jupiter Warriors/Benjamin Buccaneers stand out worked his way up the depth chart throughout spring and fall camp, and will most certainly be a contributor for the high flying NC State squad as his sophomore campaign progresses. During his senior season in high school, Preston recorded 344 yards and 3 touchdowns alongside 6 sacks on defense, earning himself a NewEraPrep Top 10 player grade for his class.
