Coral Gables, FL.- We’re getting a lot of ‘Canes hoops content on the site today!
Earlier this afternoon (May 28) the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced conference matchups for the upcoming 2025-26 season. As for Miami, the Hurricanes got their hands on a solid ACC schedule, including the following matchups:
Home and Away: v/@ Florida State, Boston College
Home: Georgia Tech, Pitt., Virginia Tech, North Carolina, California, Stanford and Louisville
Away: NC State, SMU, Clemson, Wake Forest, Virginia, Notre Dame, Syracuse

What is the biggest headline from the ACC’s schedule reveal?- We don’t get to see a regular season reunion between Miami’s newly appointed Head Coach Jai Lucas and his former squad, the Duke Blue Devils. Coach Lucas spent three seasons in Durham, serving as an assistant before being promoted to Associate Head Coach.
What would’ve made that game even better, we were close to a reunion between Miami’s newest assistant coach/director of player personnel; Andrew Moran and his former athletes Cameron and Cayden Boozer. Coach Moran and the Boozer twins spent four years dominating the FHSAA together at Miami Columbus, winning a State Title each year.
Despite the exclusion of a marquee matchup vs Duke, this is a very strong slate for the ‘Canes, who are looking to quickly thrust themselves back to the top of the ACC in year one of the Coach Lucas era. In terms of those ‘marquee matchups’ to keep an eye on, I’d predict Miami’s top games will be home vs UNC and Louisville, alongside their away matchup at NC State.
