Andrew Moran To Join Miami MBB Staff After 4-Peating At Columbus

Coral Gables, FL – Andrew Moran has been hired as an assistant coach and director of player development at the University of Miami.

Coach Moran, who was recently named the 2025 Naismith National High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Year, comes to The U after serving as the head coach at Miami Columbus, seeing tons of success

Moran led Columbus to 4-Straight FHSAA Titles and a Chipotle Nationals Championship. In addition, his Nightrydas Elite AAU team won back-to-back-to-back EYBL Peach Jam Championships. He has won at every level possible on the High school scene and will have no problem bringing success to the Canes.

“I am thrilled to welcome Andrew to my staff at the University of Miami When building my staff, I wanted to prioritize hiring coaches with a proven track record of success.” Said Head Coach Jai Lucas .

It has also been speculated that the Boozer Twins, who are currently committed to Duke, will follow Moran and stay home, but there are no serious rumors reported at this time. Congrats to Coach Moran and Miami on a great hire!
