The Atlantic Eagles remained undefeated Friday night with a dominant 41-0 shutout victory over the Blanche Ely Tigers, showcasing a blend of tough defense and explosive offense that has carried them to a perfect 4-0 record.
The Eagles wasted no time setting the tone. Quarterback Pedro Martinez capped the opening drive with a keeper into the end zone. Running back Omari St. Fort then busted the game wide open, scoring two rushing touchdowns in the first quarter to give Atlantic a commanding 21-0 lead heading into the second.
By halftime, St. Fort had found the end zone a third time, to make it 34-0. After the game, he praised his blockers:
“My offensive line is what makes me good and they keep telling me to keep pushing and getting better each day.”

While the offense piled up points, Atlantic’s defense delivered a strong statement as well. The Tigers were shut down on multiple possessions and struggled to move the ball all game.
Defensive back Terry Gammage delivered the highlight of the second quarter, jumping a route for a pick-six that extended the lead to 27-0.
“It came down to communicating with my fellow corner and executing the play when Coach put me in,” Gammage said.
Head Coach Jamelle Murray praised his team’s mindset on defense:
“Executing and holding themselves to a higher standard and playing as a team.”
Atlantic sealed the win in the fourth quarter when Mark Hanniford caught a slant pass and dragged three defenders into the end zone with him to make it 41-0. With a running clock in effect, the Eagles closed out another complete performance on both sides of the ball.
The Eagles now turn their attention to powerhouse Miami Norland, who they will host next week. With momentum on their side and a perfect record intact, Atlantic will look to prove once again that their balance of grit on defense and firepower on offense makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the state.
