Auburn Handles Business, Advances to SEC Semis

Nashville TN – On Friday Afternoon, Auburn faced off against Ole Miss in the 2025 SEC Tournament Quarterfinals. Auburn, coming off the double-bye was led by Johni Broome who put up 23 points and 15 rebounds, Including the dagger to put Auburn up by 5 with :11 remaining. The Rebels had a balanced attack, with four double-digit scorers.

The first half was a defensive battle, as the score was 29-22, an Auburn team with the #1 Offensive efficiency nationally, struggled a little bit offensively in this game, as they turned the ball over 15 times.

However, the Tigers controlled the whole second half and were able to make plays when needed, and deflect any possible runs make by the Rebels.

Ole Miss tied the game at 46 right after the under 8 media timeout, Auburn then went on a 14-5 run to make it 60, 51 with a minute to go. From then Auburn was able to get stops when needed and control the end of the game.

Bruce Pearl’s Tigers win their SEC quarterfinal matchup and will face the winner of Tennessee and Texas in the Semis . This win snaps their 2 game losing streak at the end if the regular season.
