TALLAHASSEE, FL — Miami fans pulled up deep and loud. From the moment the Canes ran out, Doak felt like Hard Rock North. The energy was wild, orange and green everywhere, and you could feel it in every chant and every hit.
The victory was spearheaded by Miami’s freshman class. Miami set the tone early. The offense was locked in, and the defense came to play. Malachi Toney, the freshman phenom, stole the show with two touchdowns. Every time he touched the ball, the crowd held its breath. His speed, his confidence it was all on display. He showed why he’s one of the most dangerous young receivers in the country.
Carson Beck stayed poised, spreading the ball and keeping the offense balanced.

On the other side of the ball, Bryce Fitzgerald, another freshman, made one of the biggest plays of the night with a clutch interception that flipped the momentum back to Miami. That pick changed everything it silenced the Florida State crowd and gave the Canes life when they needed it most. 28-3 was a slap on the face for the Noles fan and slowly but surely fans begin to leave on the third quarter.
FSU Quarterback Tommy Castellanos did everything he could to keep the Seminole’s in the game getting some touchdowns late in the fourth quarter. However the clock wasn’t on the Seminoles side.
Final: Miami 28, Florida State 22.
The Canes are back to back state champions.
