BOCA RATON – After over 250 days since Florida Atlantic’s last home game, the Owls have returned to the Burrow.

Tonight (Nov. 14), No. 10 FAU (2-0) hosted Eastern Michigan for the its first home game since the 2023 Final Four run. The Owls faithful packed the stadium, recording the largest attendance (3,161) in program history.

The Beach Boys did not disappoint the crowd, starting the season off with a bang. Five seconds after the opening tip, Nick Boyd found Vlad Goldin for an alley-oop thriller to crack the scoreboard. Goldin led FAU in scoring tonight, recoding 19 points.

The Owls’ feeding frenzy continued all night, as another five players recorded double digit points.

FAU dominated Eastern Michigan on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Owls scored at will from all sides of the court, and phases of the game. The shooters were knocking down threes, hitting fade away jumpers and cutting the paint on layups. The Owls also received multiple points in transition, as they dominated the fast break.

Defensively, FAU was locked down. Eastern Michigan had two players record double digit points, but the next highest scorer recorded five. As stated earlier, EMU had multiple turnovers, which FAU capitalized on into transitional plays.

The highlight of tonight was watching the chemistry between the Owls. The Beach Boys are stronger than ever, and their chemistry is at an all time high. Post game, Giancarlo Rosado spoke on the team’s gel, stating:

“We about the work, we live for the work. We serve for each other.” Rosado said. “When you play for your team and your school, and have pride in it you begin to shine.”

The FAU Owls will carry tonight’s momentum into their matchup against Bryant this Saturday. Tip off is slated for 6:00 P.M.
