The Benjamin Buccaneers men’s lacrosse team are well on the way to sparking the 3 peat.
The Bucs’ offense was electric last night, dominating St John Paul II 20-8. Benjamin was surgical with their shots, with attack man Jack Kelleher (’27) leading the charge. Kelleher went 6/6 shooting on the evening, supplemented by a 4 goal performance from Matthew Null (’27), alongside another 3 from Campbell Hogan (’26).
When asked about his precise performance last night, Jack Kelleher had this to say:
“I want to give it up to my teammates, they help me get open…It’s not a one man show out there, and I give them alot of props…It’s nice being a leader on this offense… Matty Null, Campbell Hogan, Sawyer Fasano and all the other offensive guys, they always find the right spots on the field…it’s really easy and it makes the offense a lot more efficient.”
Benjamin HC Duncan Clancy would follow up with his own remarks:
“Our guys came in ready, and we executed… I was very happy with their unselfish play…We played as a collective unit tonight… The common denominator is that they’re all unselfish, any given game one of them can pop off…We know if we share the ball-everyone’s going to eat.”
The Benjamin Buccaneers now stand at 3-0 on the regular season, with their next contest coming as a challenge, as they prepare to face Jupiter High on Friday, February 20.
