WEST PALM BEACH – June was a month to remember for Naeshaun Montgomery.

The Cardinal Newman 2025 athlete has gone on to gain a level of notoriety in the recruiting trail after excelling at multiple camps last month.

Montgomery (6-foot-1, 155 pounds) gained his three FBS offers over the past few weeks, which include the likes of Miami (June 11), FAU (June 15), and Stanford (June 25) – in that order. He revealed his excitement for these great summer moments, particularly when it came to the Miami offer.

“We went to the Miami 7-on-7 Tournament that day,” Montgomery said. “They (the Miami coaches) were watching my team play. They liked how smooth I was running my routes and catching the ball. They were so surprised I’m Class of 2025.”

According to a report from 247Sports.com (Gabby Urrutia – Writer), Montgomery used his long stride and long arms to catch a multitude of passes from 2024 quarterback Luke Warnock (Maryland offer). He even scored on a Warnock touchdown pass in Cardinal Newman’s semifinal tilt with Miami Northwestern (eventual Miami 7-on-7 Tournament winner).

“All the coaches were raving on how good I was playing,” said Montgomery, who transferred from Bishop Hendrickson (Rhode Island) to Cardinal Newman this past spring.

Montgomery, who also has offers from Maryland (April 10; first Power 5 offer) and USC (April 19; second Power 5 offer), went on to comment about Miami head coach Mario Cristobal.

“From what I see on social media and what I hear from my dad [Kashif Montgomery], he is really doing some great things at the U,” Montgomery said. “They got a great staff and all. They all made me feel as I was one of them. Nothing but love.”

Montgomery, who earned our Best of June moment in a recent poll, summed up his month of June by crediting his father for all the success he has right now.

“What I can say is I have the best father in the world,” Montgomery said. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for him. My father has been handling a lot of it. But this month of June has really been a blessing.”
