BOCA RATON – Spanish River is in the market for a new head football coach after Bill Ceasar was fired on Thursday morning.
Players were informed of the decision following workouts on Thursday.
The announcement comes just weeks removed from its spring football circuit and with the start of fall training camp coming within the next several weeks ahead.
The 2018 season was a disappointing season for the Sharks, where they finished the season without a win and scored just 70 points over the campaign. However, the roster was primarily underclassmen and younger players.
Ceasar had been the head coach of Spanish River since 2012 and had a 14-58 record as head coach, including a 6-5 season in 2015, the team’s last winning season.
The Sharks have yet to name a replacement for the job.
