TREASURE COAST – A few of the Treasure Coast’s Top 10 boys basketball teams qualified for this year’s FHSAA state postseason.
When the brackets were released on Selection Sunday (Feb. 12), we were met with one great surprise.
We have three district champions from the Treasure Coast. All of them are in the state’s boys basketball teams.
No at-large teams from the Treasure Coast made the state field.
Let us get to the list now.
CLASS 7A: Centennial (22-5; District 7-7A champion; automatic bid; No. 1 ranked team in the Treasure Coast; No. 5 seed in Region 2)
CLASS 6A: Martin County (17-8; District 8-6A winner; automatic bid; No. 2 ranked team in the Treasure Coast; No. 4 seed in Region 2)
CLASS 2A: St. Edward’s (16-5; District 13-2A winner; automatic bid; No. 8 ranked team in the Treasure Coast; No. 8 seed in Region 4)
