Breaking News: Palm Beach Central’s 3-Star Offensive Tackle Zaquan Linton (’27) has committed to the University of Miami.
Linton announced his commitment earlier this evening (July 8) via social media, choosing the ‘Canes over other high major programs like Florida, Louisville and Syracuse.
When asked about what set Miami apart from his other suitors, Zaquan stated:
“I thank God everyday to be in the position I am today.” Linton eagerly said. “It means the world to me, a year ago I told myself Miami was going to offer me one day and I worked for it and then it happened. Now being able to become a Hurricane, yeah, this means a lot to me.”
This off season has been critical in the development of Zaquan Linton. Shortly after transferring to Palm Beach Central, Linton burst onto the scene at the 561 Showcase Combine, winning OL MVP of the day. Since then, Zaquan has garnered the attention and respect of coaches and media on the local and national levels.

Miami is a program with a long history of producing elite offensive linemen. Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal have done an incredible job of developing NFL talents in the trenches. When asked about what it means to play in such a legendary position room, Linton shared:
“Being able to have such a legendary OL coach and staff that truly understands Offensive Line development played a major role in my decision. Becoming a part of that dominant OL history is something I want to be apart of.” Zaquan stated. “Coach Cristobal and Coach Mirabal both bring the best out of their players in their own way. Coach Mirabal’s eye for technique keying in on the details and Coach Cristobal having the same winning mentality that I want to play for. It made my decision easy, I want to be a part of that culture.”
Zaquan Linton becomes Miami’s 4th commit of the 2027 class, joining Miami Edison 4-Star WR AhMari Stevens, Norland 4-Star DB Kenton Dopson and McArthur 4-Star S Jaylyn Jones.
