Branden Hoch is taking his talents to Fort Lauderdale.
The former West Boca wide receiver is transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas, a program that has won 15 state championships, including five straight.
Hoch, who will be a senior next year, recorded 22 catches for 485 yards and nine touchdowns this year for the Bulls. Standing at 6’3, 190 pounds, Hoch is a force to be reckoned with. His wide wingspan and speed makes him a reliable target whether it be close to the line of scrimmage or down the field. But catching the ball is not the only thing Hoch can do. Hoch’s build allows him to play tight end where he is an elite blocker.
Hoch will be joining a wide receiver group at St. Thomas Aquinas that will look much different than it did in 2023. James Madison II, who is committed to Missouri, and Chance Robinson, who is committed to Miami, are graduating and will be off to play college football.
It will be hard to fill Madison and Robinson’s shoes, but Hoch will try to do so alongside Ah’Mari Stevens, Dawson Quarterman, Andreus Madison, Julius Jones, and others. Stevens, class of 2027, has offers from Miami, USF, Kentucky, Pitt, and Missouri. Quarterman, class of 2026, has offers from Colorado, Syracuse, Kentucky, and others. Madison, class of 2025, also has offers from Colorado and Syracuse. Jones, class of 2027, has an offer from Missouri.
Hoch currently has no offers but expect them to pour in this spring.
