Earlier this afternoon, The FHSAA released their tentative classifications for the future of Florida High School Football, and boy oh boy some moves were made.

For starters, The FHSAA will now have the following classifications for schools: Rural, 1A-6A, Independent. Schools are grouped into these classifications based off of school enrollment/graduation sizes and are reevaluated every two-three years. This piece will focus primarily on the Palm Beach County and Treasure Coasts regions, what moves were made for them going forward.

The first major stand out (outside of there no longer being a 7A division), is that the reigning SSAA champions Jupiter Christian and American Heritage (Delray) are moving back into FHSAA standing. With the new additions, there’s plenty of jumbling around for South Florida’s favorite programs, so this article will help make your life easier dear reader, as you now don’t need to read a 15 page PDF file.
