
Former University of South Florida head coach has taken over the reins at Auburn University on a six-year deal, per ESPN Pete Thamel.
In his post-game conference, Golesh wanted to go through his process to make the right decisions.
“Rest assured, we did everything within reason over the last few months to try and keep them here,” CEO of Athletics Rob Higgins said in an X post.
Golesh will be earning $44.4 million with incentives of $1.5 million per win after reaching nine wins in a season.

Kevin Patrick will be the interim head coach for the Bulls bowl game in search for its 10th win of the season.
As for USF, the coaching carousel starts again. UNLV head coach Dan Mullen who currently has the Rebels at 10-2 this season and will be a big name for recruitment.
FIU head coach Willie Simmons is another candidate on the table currently standing at 7-5 this season. Before his tenure at FIU, Simmons turned FAMU into a powerhouse with a 45-13 record.
Eyes will also turn to the current players on the roster in addition to the 2026 recruitment class barring the news of Golesh leaving for Auburn.
