BOYNTON BEACH- Breaking News: Denairius Gray has announced be transferring from Somerset Canyons to Chaminade-Madonna. Gray made his decision public today (June 22) via his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

When asked about his decision to transfer to Chaminade, Denairius stated:

“After long talks with my family over these pass few weeks, I’m happy to announce that I’ll be taking my talents to Chaminade-Madonna!” Gray said. “Their quick tempo offense, and great coaching staff is a great fit for me as a player! I’m ready to get to work!”

Gray also made sure to show love and appreciation for his time at Somerset.

“I’m thankful for my Coaches and Teammates at Somerset. They treated me like family, and have always supported me no matter what.” Gray said. “They put me in the best position to succeed on and off the field.”

Gray is a physical 6-foot-1 athlete that can play wide receiver and defensive back at the highest level. His size and physical play style makes him one of the premier recruits in the Class of 2026.

During his freshman season at Canyons, Gray recorded:

•56 receptions
•752 receiving yards
•14 receiving touchdowns
•42 total tackles
•1 interception
•1 forced fumble

After his stellar freshman season, Gray received over 20 Division I offers, including Georgia, Michigan, Texas A&M, Florida State, and LSU.

Offensively, Gray is an absolute nightmare to face. His size and speed makes him one of the scariest receivers in all of South Florida.

Another weapon in Gray’s arsenal is his jump ball ability. If there is a contested jump ball thrown Gray’s way, he’s going to come down with it.

Gray is poised to make an immediate impact on a loaded Chaminade roster. The reigning FHSAA Class 1M state champions will utilize Gray’s talents to make another state champion run in 2023.
