Plantation, FL.- Breaking News to start your morning everyone!

Earlier this morning, American Heritage (Plantation)’s elite 4-Star WR Malachi Toney announced his intentions to forego his senior year, reclassifying from the class of 2026 to 2025.

Toney, a 5 foot 11 speedster has been a force to be reckoned with since his high school debut. Mali has undoubtedly been one of the top receivers in the Nation, showing his abilities to do anything and everything needed to win. Every time he steps on the field, Malachi broadcasts his talents for all, showing a complete mastery of the route tree, glue-like hands and an outstanding jump-ball ability on contested catches. Whenever that ball gets thrown his way, Malachi is certainly coming down with it.

The 4-Star receiver currently holds offers to 26 Division I FBS programs. If close your eyes and think of your favorite college football team, I’m confident Mali holds an offer from that team. In August 2023, Toney decided to stay home, verbally committing to the University of Miami. Malachi chose the Hurricanes over top programs in the country like Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and Tennessee.

As previously stated, Malachi Toney announced earlier this morning his intentions to reclassify to the class of 2025. Toney also plans to enroll at the U early, joining the team in January 2025.

With the addition of Malachi Toney to the ‘Canes 2025 class, has now advanced to being the #11 recruiting class (per 24/7 Sports). Toney will join a loaded ’25 class featuring South Florida’s finest talents like 4-star LB Ezekiel Marcellin (Miami Central), 4-star DB Amari Wallace (Miami Central) and 4-star DB Bryce Fitzgerald (Chaminade Madonna), and a strong offensive class featuring 4-star QB Luke Nickell and 4-star RB Girard Pringle.

After a strong 3-0 start to their season, it’s evidently clear that Miami’s verbal commits can’t wait to be in Coral Gables. I expect Miami to continue promoting their team’s success, swaying even more recruits to join the future of the program.
