Breaking News: UAB Transfer F Yaxel Lendeborg has committed to Michigan, per multiple reports. Lendeborg, a 6 foot 9 forward was rated as the #1 Player in the Transfer Portal following a dominant 17PPG, 11 Rebound Per Game season with the Blazers.

Lendeborg’s dominance at UAB has garnered himself and the program national attention and accolades, earning two consecutive First Team All AAC selections, a National Player of the Week award and 2024 AAC Tournament MVP honors. Yaxel becomes the third top 40 portal recruit to commit to the Wolverines, joining Illinois PF Morez Johnson Jr. (#18) and North Carolina PG Elliot Cadeau (#40).

Yaxel Lendeborg entered the Transfer Portal while also entering his name in the 2025 NBA Draft. Yax will reportedly continue the Draft evaluation process, before making a decision on whether to return to college and become a Wolverine, or pursue professional waters.
