Breakout Player of Week 1: Remi De’Orsey, Oxbridge

WEST PALM BEACH – Oxbridge Academy running back Remi De’Orsey (’26) is your Breakout Player of Week 1.

De’Orsey was voted as Breakout Player of the Week by 32.2 percent of our viewers. For those that do not know, you can find all of our weekly superlatives on the New Era Prep Twitter account.

When asked about being voted as Breakout Player of the Week, De’Orsey said:

“Being voted Breakout Player of the Week means a lot and is a huge honor,” De’Orsey stated. “I’m proud of myself, but I can only get better from here and keep working. My coaches push me in practice to be the best version of myself.”

Despite being narrowly defeated by Jupiter Christian, 35-33, De’Orsey did everything in his power to make sure the Thunderwolves stayed in the game.

Against Jupiter Christian, De’Orsey recorded:

•120 rushing yards
•3 rushing touchdowns
•50 kick return yards

When asked about his performance against Jupiter Christian, De’Orsey said:

“I had a strong performance that game and it is a step in the right direction. I couldn’t do it without any of my teammates either,” De’Orsey stated. “We fought the entire game and we’re in it the whole time. I felt that I played hard and did what I could for my team.”

Congratulations Remi on being voted as Breakout Player of the Week. He and the Oxbridge Thunderwolves will face the Berean Bulldogs on Friday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.
