The Cleveland Browns made a significant addition to their defensive line by selecting Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. This pick came after a strategic trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where the Browns moved down from the No. 2 spot, acquiring additional draft capital in the process.

Graham, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 320 pounds, was a standout at Michigan, earning unanimous All-American honors in 2024. Over his three-year college career, he amassed 108 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. His performance was instrumental in Michigan’s 2023 national championship run.

In Cleveland, Graham is expected to pair with All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett, forming a dynamic duo that could revitalize the Browns’ defensive front. His addition addresses a long-standing need for a dominant interior lineman, potentially transforming the Browns’ defense into one of the league’s most formidable units.

This selection not only strengthens the Browns’ defensive line but also signifies a commitment to building a championship-caliber defense. With Graham anchoring the interior, Cleveland fans have reason to be optimistic about the team’s defensive prospects in the upcoming season.
