The South Florida Bulls bounce back in its return home in a 63-14 victory over the South Carolina State Bulldogs. South Florida

Senior wide receiver Chas Nimrod records his second straight 100-yard receiving game, including one touchdown.
Redshirt senior quarterback Byrum Brown threw for 236 yards, along with four touchdowns and an interception.
The Bulls scored on all sides of the ball as senior linebacker Mac Harris returned a 93-yard interception for a touchdown. Senior safety Jaelen Stokes blocked a punt following a scoop and score from sophomore fullback Ashton Mosley.
A blowout win does not mean perfection, as head coach Alex Golesh emphasized during the post-game conference.
“If you are a winning program, and you think you’ve got standards that are higher than just a win, you’ve got to look at why the sloppiness is the way it is,” Golesh said.
Golesh’s vision is coming to life. The culture of the team has been contagious, as veteran players have been taking on leadership to keep the culture growing and coach the younger players for the future.
“If I can go out there every single day and put forth the best effort I can and show, show the young guys how it’s done, like, when I come back, it’s gonna I’m expecting it to be that way,” Harris said.
The Bulls get the bye week and will take on Charlotte in the first game of conference play on Oct. 3 at Raymond James Stadium.
