Breaking: Dr Joaquin Garcia QB Caleb Butler has committed to UNC Pembroke, he tells NewEraPrep.
Butler, a 6 foot 1 gunslinger announced his commitment to the BraveHawks moments ago via social media.

When asked about what helped the BraveHawks stand out in a competitive recruitment process, Caleb shared:
“UNCP has felt like home from the beginning. Coach Hall was recruiting me hard since our first conversation. I’m excited and honored to finally become a Brave Hawk.”
The commitment of Caleb Butler marks yet another significant milestone in the young and budding history of Dr. Garcia High, as he becomes the first football player to pledge a commitment to play college football.
As a three year starter, Butler has lit up the stat sheet, the scoreboard and opposing secondaries. Throughout two full years as a starter (2023,2024), Caleb Butler totaled 4,434 passing yards, and 62 total touchdowns on 56% completion. In the first three games of his senior season, Butler has already tossed for 725 yards and 11 touchdowns.
