Davie, FL.- It’s a great day to be a Miami Hurricanes fan!
Earlier today (July 13), two of the University of Miami’s stars: Francisco “Kiko” Mauigoa (LB) and Francis Mauigoa (OT) hosted a charity autograph signing at the CanesWear shop down in Davie.
The Mauigoa brothers hosted today’s signing in partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida . For those that don’t know, the Ronald McDonald House is a “Nonprofit family & children’s charity dedicated to supporting families with sick children in their time of need.”
Over the course of the 2024-25 season, the Mauigoa brothers are hoping to raise over $10,000 in support of the Foundation.
When asked about what partnering with this charitable cause meant to them, the brothers stated:
“Today was for us to give back to the community.” Kiko said. “I was raised and taught to serve others. I’m very blessed to be at the spot I am today. We love this community and we want to make a big impact.”
“We want to help those in need.” Francis shared. “In Samoa we were raised to put the community first. Before going to school, we’d do whatever needs to be done around our home. It’s natural in our culture to look out for our community and takes care of what needs to be done. God blesses us, so we bless others.”
Today, the Hurricanes’ faithful poured into CanesWear in support of their stars’ cause. In a truly delightful fashion, ‘Canes fans old and young rounded the isles of the shop to participate in the community service.
