PLANTATION, FL – In what was an anticipated matchup tonight between two nationally ranked powerhouse programs, turned into a dominating display by Chaminade-Madonna.
With kickoff originally set to be at 7:30 did not actually happen, with a lightning delay we did not see kickoff happen until 8pm. Chaminade’s dominant defense got the Lions on the board first with a pick-six from Curtis Janvier to give Chaminade a 7-0 lead. Chaminade almost had a fast 14-0 lead but a kick return to the house from Ohio State commit Jeremiah Smith got called back. Smith would get his get back with a big pass from NC State commit Cedrick Bailey to give the Lions an official 14-0 lead. Chaminade’s 1st quarter dominance didn’t stop there as Bailey would once again find Smith in the endzone to give the Lions a 21-0 lead. Early in the 2nd quarter American-Heritage would finally get on the board in the form of a field goal to shrink the deficit. However, Chaminade would hold the lead at 21-3 heading into halftime.

In the 4th quarter Chaminade would finally find the end zone for the first time since the 1st quarter, as Jackson Arwin would power through the Heritage defensive line to give Chaminade a 28-10 lead.
