Chauncey Bowens: Offensive Player of Week 1

PALM BEACH COUNTY – Benjamin Running Back Chauncey Bowens (’24) is your Offensive Player of Week 1.

Bowens was voted Offensive Player of the Week by 41.1% of our viewers. All of our weekly superlatives are found on the New Era Prep Twitter account.

“I truly appreciate all the support I get, not only from the viewers, but from New Era Prep.” Bowens said, “I am grateful to be Offensive Player of the Week for 2 weeks in a row now, Thank you to everyone who voted for me.”

With a loss to John Carroll last year (24-21), Benjamin redeemed themselves this year. Final score was 49-6.

Bowens was a big part of the Benjamin offense last Thursday. Gaining stats like these during the game,

“It was a good game, I think we played a really well coached team, John Carroll. Our guys did a good job executing” Bowens said. “We are going game by game, I think I did a really good job but my O-line did fabulous and we are just going to keep building this up.”

Congratulations Chauncey for winning both Week 0 and Week 1 Offensive Player. Benjamin now has a Bye week this week and they play Clearwater Academy International on September 8th at 6:30 at The Benjamin School.
