WEST PALM BEACH – Palm Beach Christian Prep (6-1) is currently on a roll, while growing challenges exist for Glades Day (2-7).

Palm Beach Christian Prep put on a show in Delray Beach as it dominated Glades Day on both sides of the ball – particularly in the second half of its 32-7 home win last night (Oct. 27).

Glades Day got on the board first on a pass from Marquis Clarke to Ryan Hale in the first quarter. But Palm Beach Christian Prep would not allow another score after that.

Cameron Dwyer got things started for the Saints on a short run to chop the Gators lead to 7-6 later in the first quarter.

The Saints defense owned the second quarter as they scored two touchdowns and killed any momentum the Gators had before halftime.

The first defensive touchdown was scored by Jadarius Patterson at the start of the second quarter.

Omar Armstead had a pick-six with a little over a minute left in the first half. He broke three tackles on his way to the end zone to give the saints a 18-7 lead going into halftime.

Palm Beach Christian Prep would own the second half as well in keeping Glades Day’s offense in check.

Saints junior Dennis Forde ran for an 18-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Armstead scored his second touchdown of the night in the fourth quarter on a 27-yard pass to junior Grant Turner IV. It would be the nail in the coffin for how the Palm Beach Christian Prep-Glades Day game turned out last night.

Head coach Jonathan King has the Saints on a three-game winning streak. As the season nears its end, they are hitting their stride.

The Saints have only allowed one score in the last three games and outscored their opponents by a score of 116-7 during their winning streak.

The Saints, a very young team and second-year program with a bright future ahead, will be on the road next week as they take on a tough Inlet Grove squad in Week 11.

The kickoff for Palm Beach Christian Prep’s season finale is set for Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
