Boca Raton, FL – Coach Kokell traveled to watch two of his predecessors go head to head in a district show down Thursday night.

Coach Kokell AKA Coach K is the former Head Coach of Forest Hill and Olympic Heights. Emotions were running high Thursday night as the Olympic Heights Lions and Forest Hill Falcons faced off in a district showdown! The game itself was a nail biter as the game ended on a pass break up on the goal line by Forest Hill Defensive Back #4 Euvoski Cunningham. Forest Hill held on to win 34-28 on Olympic Heights homecoming night.

Coach K stated he was nervous throughout the entire game as he watched not only two coaches go head to head but two of his good friends, Olympic Heights Head Coach Baz Alfred and Forest Hill Head Coach Jude Blessington. Not to mention Coach K also had players he coached on both teams participating in the district showdown Thursday night in Boca Raton.

Currently the defensive coordinator for Jensen Beach high school Coach K finds great comfort in his new role at Jensen Beach, this comfort goes beyond the football field. Coach K is a seasoned coach in Palm Beach County but his decision to go north for another coaching opportunity is more than honorable.

Coach K stated in his interview with New Era Prep “I live in Stuart so I made the move to work closer to my family. My wife made so many sacrifices for me while I was a head coach at Olympic Heights, so it’s nice to give back and pick up the kids after practice and have dinner with them etc. Things I couldn’t do last year.”

Keep up with all the action on social media.
