With the 11th pick in the MLB Draft, the Los Angeles Angels selected Nolan Schanuel, a 1st Baseman and Outfielder from Florida Atlantic University and Park Vista High School Alumni.
Before FAU, Nolan tore up the scene locally at Park Vista, batting over .400 his entire high school career. It caught the attention of Florida Atlantic where he continued to make waves in paradise. Making his presence known immediately, he hit eleven home runs as a freshman, this total went up to sixteen his sophomore and nineteen his junior year. This junior year campaign landed him the 26th ranked prospect in this years draft class.
