Morgantown, WV.- Breaking News: Palm Beach Central’s 3-Star Safety Cameron Dwyer (’26) has verbally committed to West Virginia. Dwyer announced his commitment to the Mountaineers moments ago via social media.

Cameron chose the Mountaineers over Liberty, USF, Pitt. and Georgia State. When asked about his commitment to West Virginia, Dwyer stated:

“I’m truly honored and blessed to be a West Virginia Mountaineer! Country Roads, Take Me Home!”

Cameron Dwyer is a 6 foot 2 Safety from Palm Beach Central. Dwyer is a versatile Swiss army knife on the field, embodying the phrase “Position-less defense”. Cameron can shift all over a defense, playing safety, nickel and linebacker at an exceptional level. Dwyer’s a true “down hill safety” that loves contact. Cam Dwyer lives for big hits that provide sparks for a crowd.

The addition of Cameron Dwyer to West Virginia’s 2026 recruiting class provides the third commit hailing South Florida. Dwyer will be joining 4-Star QB Jyron Hughley and 3-Star WR Jeffar Jean-Noel in Morgantown.
