Somerset Charter Academy Miami, Fl- The second day of the Crib Classic was a bold statement. For teams on the outside of the Day 1 elite bracket, Day 2 was about more than playing games. It was about earning respect. Getting seen. Getting better.
Event Director Aleck Dagrosa collaborated with Michael and Anthony Yero from 305 Sports to make this all happen. “We had a lot of people reach out to us wanting to get involved,” said Aleck, one of the architects behind the Crib Classic. “So we created that second-day opportunity for teams that didn’t make that first day and are looking to rebuild their program.”

That opportunity? Fully taken advantage of. From the 9 a.m. kickoff between Pace and Gulliver to the final whistle in the Somerset–Booker T. showdown, it was wall-to-wall energy.
Top Performers: Pace Sets the Tone
Pace came in ready. They didn’t just win the Day 2 tournament; they dominated it, knocking off Carol City in a hard-fought final that capped off a morning full of fast breaks, defensive grit, and flashes of serious next-level talent.
Paces new Quarterback Jordan Fernandez happily accepts his MVP trophy after taken his team all the way. “It wasn’t easy throughout the day, some tough competition but we pulled through”, stated Fernandez
“I can’t wait to buy new gear and machines” Fernandez Receiver, Mykei Wade added after winning $5000 prize.
BridgePrep, Homestead, and Ransom Everglades programs like these might not make the Day 1 cut (yet), but on Day 2, they got game reps against legit competition. And that’s the whole point. The Classic’s impact isn’t just about what happens on the field.
And when C2 asked Aleck, “When did it hit you why you started this?” the answer was real. After last year, they looked around, counted how many kids got offers. That’s when it clicked. This is bigger than ball.

This isn’t just another South Florida 7v7. It’s a community hub scouting goldmine.
