Allen was a member of Coach Jai Lucas’s first recruiting class at Miami next to Shelton Henderson, with both of those guys coming in as Top 50 recruits with hopes of stepping up to be the next big stars at Miami.
With the decision, Dante Allen becomes the first Hurricane to announce his return, with more announcements expected to be made soon between both Shelton Henderson and Tru Washington.

For Jai Lucas and Miami’s program, the return of a starter in Allen is needed for a program that is losing three leaders in Tre Donaldson, Malik Reneau and Ernest Udeh Jr. Allen’s experience and leadership in 2026 will be of much use as Miami looks to keep on building towards another run in March next year.
Welcome back, Dante!
