Davis, Martin and Goldin secure FAU’s inaugural AAC Accolades

BOCA RATON,FL.- What a year for the Florida Atlantic Owls. 

Following a miraculous Final Four run, the FAU Owls finished the 2023-24 regular season 24-7 (14-4 AAC), securing the #2 Seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship later this week.

Earlier this morning (March 12), the AAC released the end of year superlatives, with three of the “Beach Boys” receiving awards.

The players awarded were:

G Johnell Davis: Co-Player of the Year (with USF Chris Youngblood) & First Team All Conference (Unanimous Vote) 

G Alijah Martin: Second Team All Conference

C Vlad Goldin: Second Team All Conference

Johnell Davis showed throughout the season why he is one of the most dominant players in college basketball, as he averaged:

18.2 Points Per Game

6.3 Rebounds Per Game

3.1 Assists Per Game

47.9% FG

43.8% 3PT %

Congratulations to all three Owls on their achievements. Florida Atlantic is set to face the winner of Tulane vs North Texas on Friday, March 15. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 P.M. EST.
